Our client, a Financial institution in Blackpool has an opening for a Software Engineer with solid technical expertise and a passion for innovation. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, analysts, and project managers to develop new features, enhance existing functionality, and troubleshoot platform issues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a software engineer looking to expand their skills and contribute to high-quality software projects.

We're looking for people with a minimum of 3+ years of Software Engineering experience. Training, certifications, and external courses are offered so someone interested in career development would be ideal!

To apply for this role, you must have no less than 3 years of experience working on C#, .Net, and SQL. You must also have experience working on Azure Function Apps.

Main Duties:
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Develop new product features and ensure smooth integration with internal and external systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform bugs and issues.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to product specifications.
Produce high-quality, defect-free code and ensure optimal application performance.

What are we hoping to find?
3+ years of experience in commercial software development.
Strong proficiency in .NET using C#.
Expertise in Web Services (WCF, RESTful APIs).
Experience on Azure Function Apps.
Strong SQL skills and MS SQL databases
Knowledge of SDLC and source control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).

Preferred Skills:
Experience in web development (ASP.Net MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Desktop development experience (Console apps, WinForms/WPF).

Desired Qualities:
Experience working in Finance, or Banking
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Detail-oriented with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
