Our client in the Birmingham area is looking for a new Trainer & Contract Coordinator for their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

Role & Responsibilities

Arrange and manage internal and external training sessions, including booking and delivery.
Train employees on various topics, including manual handling, abrasive wheels, and fall arrest systems.
Oversee contractors, including reviewing their work, documenting outcomes, and providing feedback.
Induct contractors and ensure proper onboarding.
Review and assess contractor-provided documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, work permits, and Safe Systems of Work, producing reports and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
Manage contractor reporting, including associated paperwork and documentation.
Oversee safety and insurance-related contractor reporting and associated documentation.
Perform additional ad hoc duties to support the training function as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a production or manufacturing environment.
Desirable: Train the Trainer Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Strong ability to engage and communicate effectively with employees, managers, contractors, and visitors.
Experience managing contractors, including assessing and approving their work.
Self-motivated, tenacious, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Approachable and collaborative, with the ability to support employees and managers effectively.
Well-organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to work under pressure.
Competence in using computers and related software.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle workload effectively.
