Are you a passionate and organised individual with a keen interest in science? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join a friendly and high-performing school in Rotherham. This full-time position is available from January 2025 and will run until Easter 2025.

The Role:

As a Science Technician, you will:

Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring practicals run smoothly.
Support teachers during practical demonstrations and experiments.
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and in excellent working order.
Assist with the storage and organization of chemicals, specimens, and other materials, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Provide technical support to both staff and students, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.This is a fantastic role for anyone with a scientific background who wants to be part of a supportive school environment.

What We're Looking For:

A background in science (qualification or experience in a laboratory environment preferred).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
An understanding of health and safety practices in a laboratory setting (training can be provided).
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
