Our client in the Birmingham area is looking for a new Production Manager to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

Role & Responsibilities

Organise and oversee all aspects of production to meet operational targets.
Understand customer requirements and adjust production schedules accordingly.
Ensure compliance with and improvement of company health and safety standards.
Manage personnel requirements to meet production needs effectively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance production KPIs.
Align working hours with production demands to ensure efficiency.
Monitor and manage tooling requirements to support uninterrupted operations.
Assist with the development and implementation of new products and processes.
Oversee maintenance schedules for plant and equipment and participate in technical/maintenance meetings.
Collaborate with the Production Director and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.

Requirements

Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, including experience operating in a 'Kanban & Just-in-Time' environment.
Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Highly organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated, and professional.
Computer literate with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and the ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
Flexibility in tasks and duties to ensure adequate cover when required.
Strong communication skills with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
