Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will:
Ensuring the steam raising and power generation plant always operates and complies within environmental regulations
Supporting with plant improvements and operational performance
Produce site energy budgets
Manage a team and provide Mentorship for process / utilities engineers
Liaise with Environmental Team to provide emissions reports and any other energy efficiency schemes
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with appropriate experience.
Chartered Mechanical Engineer (desirable)
BOAS certified would be advantageous
Personal skills
The Operations Manager role would suit someone who:
At least five years operations experience on a steam raising plant, in a similar heavy industrial setting such as power generation, CHP, refineries etc.
Able to prioritise and coordinate work activities based on operational needs.
Ability to gain technical knowledge to support safe and efficient work practices

Between £65,000 - £70,000
£7500 car allowance
