Technical Finishing Operative in Orgreave - CV-Library

We are currently looking to recruit on behalf of our client based in Rotherham (S60) for a Technical Finishing Operative.

Salary: £25,600 (An extra 25% shift allowance on afternoon shift)

Shift Pattern:
Monday - Thursday 6am -2pm / 2pm - 10pm
Friday 5am -1pm / 1pm - 9pm. - rotating
*A night shift will be coming but not for 6 months*

Role Duties:

Upgrading castings in both Non-Ferrous and Ferrous alloys, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
Working with precision to achieve tight tolerances and strictly adhering to quality procedures.
Removing ceramic mould material from castings.
Utilising hand tools such as grinders, burrs, and abrasive belts to eliminate metal running, feeding, and gating systems.
Preparing castings for the welding process to ensure readiness.
Dressing castings to meet drawing tolerance and profile specifications.
Proficiently using measurement tools such as verniers, calliper's, micrometers, and depth gauges.
Undertaking additional responsibilities as necessary, beyond those listed above.
Proven experience as a Finishing Operative or in a similar role within the casting industry.Bonus Scheme

All staff members will get a bonus 25% of profit paid 3 months in arrears, paid every month.

Holidays 22 days per year, plus 1 additional day for each year of service up to 5 years, plus bank holidays.
