Job Description

The Opportunity

My client is a long-standing manufacturing business and a true market leader in what they do, making high quality and bespoke products. They were incorporated in 1977 and are a multi-million £ turnover business, with this growing year on year. They are looking for a Procurement/Inventory Controller to bolster the procurement team, this role has come about due to internal promotion. You will be working closely with the Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer to provide essential support to the department, this is a key role.

This a very fast paced department/company so previous experience in purchasing, material planning, or inventory/stock control is required.

Responsibilities

* Take control of stock control for the company and ensure the procurement of materials is accurate and OTIF from key suppliers

* Maintain supplier relationships and always be on the look out for alternative suppliers and potential cost savings

* Expedite orders with suppliers to ensure production never slows down/stops

* Ensure goods in processes are adhered to and stock counts are carried out regularly

* Ensure the MRP system is up to date and stock date is accurate

About you

* 2+ years in a purchasing/procurement/planning/inventory role

* Experience in a manufacturing environment

* Experience liaising with all departments in a business

* Experience managing suppliers and large scale PO’s.

* Strong organisational skills

* Friendly and strong relationship builder
