Quality Assurance Assistant
Salary: Up to £26,560 per annum
Location: Norfolk
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, late shift from 1pm to 10pm
ISQ Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join a dynamic and well-established team. This new role will see you working alongside an existing QA assistant and supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining high standards within the manufacturing process.

Job Purpose:
As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will play a critical role in upholding the company’s adherence to quality standards and procedures. You will actively support production teams by conducting operator training, performing audits, and promoting a proactive quality culture. Your involvement will help the company move closer to its goal of World Class Manufacturing and a ‘zero defects’ culture.
Main Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Perform product testing to ensure adherence to specifications and conduct quality audits on production processes.
Data Management: Use measurement analysis tools to monitor quality and record data into spreadsheets.
Training: Provide quality and hygiene training for operators and support their ongoing development.
Non-Conformance: Support investigations into internal and external non-conformance issues and assist with corrective actions (RC & CAPA).
Audit Support: Assist with external audits (ISO9001, BRCGS) and ensure the maintenance of quality retention samples and systems.
Continuous Improvement: Promote and contribute to a proactive quality and safety culture across the site. Qualifications and Experience Required:
Experience: Previous experience in a quality role within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment is essential. Knowledge of ISO9001 and BRCGS standards is highly desirable.
Education: GCSEs in English and Maths are essential. A-level education or equivalent is desirable.
Skills: Six Sigma Green Belt qualification or working towards it is preferred. Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is essential.
IT Proficiency: Competent in using MS Office and quality management systems.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels of the business.
