Office Administrator
Location: Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 6AD.
Salary: £25,000 (based on working 5 days per week).
Contract: Full time, permanent. We are open to candidates who wish to work either 5 days per week or 4 days per week, however if working 4 days per week, the non-working day must be either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Holiday entitlement: 32 days including Bank Holidays (based on working 5 days per week).
Benefits: Free parking, company events, early finish on a Friday.
We are looking for a Practice Administrator to join our growing accountancy practice in Thornaby.
This exciting opportunity would suit a dynamic, flexible and motivated individual. Our accountancy practice provides varied and interesting work, delivering a friendly and proactive year-round service to businesses and personal taxpayers in the local area.
You will be working as part of a small team of three people. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Office Administrator - Responsibilities:
• Answering the phone.
• Post duties including scanning and filing all incoming post.
• Greeting walk-in customers.
• Booking work in.
• Sending reminders to clients about their VAT returns, accounts, and tax returns.
• Responsibility for sending invoice reminders and phoning customers about outstanding invoices.
• Dealing with client requests for information.
• Setting new customers on our in-house software – training will be provided.
• VAT returns – No experience necessary, training can be given on the job.
• Payroll duties – No experience necessary, training can be given on the job.
• Other office admin duties as required.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate will:
• Ideally have previous experience in a similar position
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have strong organisational skills
• Be able to work well independently
• Have good computer skills, be comfortable using Microsoft office packages. Training for our specialist software packages will be provided.
• Be comfortable speaking with members of the public and be able to maintain a polite, friendly and professional manner always.
