Transport Planner - 4 on, 4 off (Nights) - London Gateway

Our client who are a nationwide transport company are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in London Gateway, UK

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: 4 on, 4 off - nights (18:00pm to 06:00am)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Dealing with multiple drivers
Communicating with ports
Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
Speaking to customers on possible delays advising etc Requirements:

Previous experience as a Transport Planner - Essential
Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal
Excellent UK geographical knowledge
Can work on own initiative
Quick and efficient problem solving skills
