P4 Recruitment are working with an award winning provider based in the North West that specialise in supporting adults in supported living and residential and are on the lookout for a passioante Deputy care manager to work alongside the manager to support with growth of the organistion.

The Role

Deputy Manager - supported living

Monday - Friday 9-5pm - 35 hours a week

Salary £30500 - £32k plus Bonus Enhacements

Location - Preston, Lancashire

On a day-to-day basis, the role is supporting the care manager in all aspects of the company’s multi-site tenancies management. Continuous travel will be required between the company’s tenancies as part of the role.

The role will involve managing and working with the care staff team providing effective care and support to adult residents with profound learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.

Required Experience:

The managerial and healthcare aspects of this role require at least 18 months relevant experience in a supervisory/managerial role in the care sector.

* Experience working with people who have severe learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities.

* The ability to work within a team.

* Good IT skills.

Qualifications and required skills:

A level 5 qualification or equivalent will also be required.

Full driving license with own car and business insurance is required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* To assist in the management of the staff teams providing day to day support to service users, working alongside them on care when required.

* Assisting the domiciliary care manager in general care/healthcare administration matters within the service ensuring they have an overview of the issues and requirements of the service. These will include:

* staff rota planning

* arranging cover for staff holidays and other absences

* maintaining individual care plans

* maintaining individual health action plans

* risk assessments

* providing some ‘on call’ duties providing telephone advice and emergency cover

* dealing with any complaints in line with policy and procedure.
