JOB OVERVIEW: Site Manager - Engineering. Ideally will have managed previous civil / water engineering projects from conception to completion but not critical.

Salary: To c55K plus pension, laptop, phone++ or DAILY RATE considered

Location: Based on site. Candidates will reside in the area between Dublin and Newry.

My client has we have grown to provide all Groundwork and Civil Engineering services covering the entirety of the UK and Ireland from our office in Northern Ireland, delivering services to some of the biggest named Construction companies in the world.

THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY

Open to looking for an energetic candidate who can also grow into the role as opposed to the finished article as such the initial ‘must have’ linked to the experience of having managed a previous Civil Engineering Project is more of a ‘desirable’ than a complete necessity;

You will be joining a highly professional and successful operational management team with the opportunity to be involved on prestigious long term contracts which will provide security of long term work & a wide variety of different project types including those associated with infrastructure, buildings, structures, roads, marine, water supply, and sewerage schemes. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for organising staff on site and proactively planning and highlighting resource requirements for staff, labour, and plant. You will maintain effective planning and communication with all stakeholders and achieve project deadlines / deliverables to the client whilst maintaining and promoting Health and Safety processes and liaise with SHEQ Manager at all times.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

In order to be selected for this role you will come from a civil engineering discipline and hold either a degree of HND qualification (building or civil engineering) & have successfully managed civil engineering projects throughout your career to date from cradle to grave. Due to the nature & location of the work that will be undertake covering Northern Ireland it is expected that you will be flexible to travel throughout. This is a management position within a highly successful organisation and as such the expectation is that you have high accuracy & excellent problem solving skills.
