The Role:
Teach engaging sessions in bakery skills, ensuring high-quality learning outcomes.
Assess student work, maintaining academic standards.
Support the ongoing development of the bakery curriculum.
Mentor and guide students to help them succeed in their studies.
Contribute to the college's ethos of excellence through participation in quality assurance processes. Key Details:
Hours: 2 days/15 hours per week (Tues/Weds preferred, but flexible).
Rate: £20 - £25 an hour + holiday pay
Type: Temporary role while the college recruits for a permanent lecturer. Temp-to-perm opportunities available.
Requirements: Strong industry experience is essential, but no teaching qualification is required. This is an historic college which has been open nearly 100 years, set in beautiful rural grounds, with genuinely supportive staff. The site itself boasts their very own Food and Drink Innovation Centre, which was purpose-built in 2018, and offers students industry-level facilities to learn in. This has been a really successful area of the college and as a result this is a new role to help cope with increasing demand for courses and increased student numbers.
