What You'll Be Doing
This role is all about property inspections and getting to the root of disrepair issues. You'll focus on carrying out damp, mould, and disrepair surveys, identifying building problems, and finding practical solutions.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
Inspecting properties to diagnose damp, mould, and other building defects.
Preparing clear and detailed condition reports that can stand up in court, and attending court as a witness when needed.
Specifying remedial works for our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and managing contractors to ensure repairs are done well and on time.
Supporting our Response Surveyors by tackling damp investigations in tricky cases and providing advice and training.
Helping resolve complaints and delivering excellent customer care, even in difficult situations.
You'll join a small team of Disrepair Surveyors, working across the housing portfolio to keep homes in top shape and make a real difference for residents.
About You:
We're looking for someone with a mix of qualifications, experience, and personal skills.
Your Experience and Know-How
You've got a relevant qualification (like an HNC or higher in Building, Surveying, or Damp Remedial Works), or you've got 6+ years' experience in this field.
You know the ins and outs of disrepair legislation, including the Landlord Tenancy Act 1985, Homes for Habitation, and HHSRS assessments.
You've got solid experience in damp investigations and a good understanding of building pathology.
Your Skills
You're great at managing your time and hitting deadlines while keeping an eye on budgets and performance.
You're confident with IT, especially MS Word, and can produce detailed written reports and floor plans.
You've got strong communication skills, whether you're dealing with contractors, customers, or solicitors.
You'll need a full driving licence and your own vehicle.
You're comfortable travelling across Wiltshire, Hampshire, and occasionally further into our regions.
