Job Description

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Stores Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing the Stores Operation on a busy manufacturing site.

The Engineering Stores Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Stores - goods receipt, warehousing, inventory control, product sourcing and team management.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Lead, develop and mentor the Stores team
Ensure the team understand the relevant processes and procedures are understood and efficiently implemented
Champion best standards and ensure housekeeping is maintained
Maintain Health & Safety requirements and manage H&S processes
Build and develop relationships with Key Stakeholders and ensure materials are available to meet the business needs.
To manage stock inventory through designated policies and techniques (e.g. cycle counting, stock checks, FIFO etc)
Manage all documentation in line with Company and Client procedures.
Report on weekly/monthly KPI's to demonstrate process control and compliance
Work with key Stakeholders to identify and remove obsolete/redundant parts, optimise min/max levels for codified items to ensure optimal coverage for all maintenance and overhaul duties.
Identify, drive and implement cost-saving opportunities
Continually identify opportunities for continuous improvementKnowledge and experience of the role:

Proven experience of working in a similar Engineering Stores Management role within a busy manufacturing organisation
Experience in developing, motivating and leading successful teams
Experienced in logistical/material supply methodologies, including Lean principles
Strong Planning and organisational skills
Strong communicator who can build working relationships with colleagues and Stakeholders
Can work autonomously and has strong problem-analysis and decision-making skills
Experience in ERP/MRP systems
Passionate about Continuous Improvement
