Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and woodworking, with the ability to fabricate and assemble high-quality cabinets and furniture. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency with various power and hand tools. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with designers and clients to ensure that all projects meet specifications and quality standards.

Duties

* Fabricate custom cabinets and furniture pieces according to design specifications.

* Assemble components using power tools and hand tools, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts.

* Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and completed products.

* Collaborate with team members to plan projects, including layout, materials needed, and timelines.

* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols while using equipment.

* Assist in the installation of cabinets on-site, ensuring proper alignment and plumb.

* Carry out painting or finishing tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of the final product.

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a carpenter or cabinet maker is essential.

* Proficiency in using various power tools (e.g., saws, drills) and hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers).

* Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently.

* Knowledge of electrical components related to cabinetry is an advantage.

* Experience in painting or finishing techniques is desirable.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

* Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.

* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
