Quality Manager – Welding & ISO Expertise
Location: Pontefract

Are you an experienced Quality Manager with a background in welding, ISO standards / systems, and quality process improvement? If so, this is your chance to make a real impact in a fabrication and welding-focused company currently growing.

We’re seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead a team that includes welding inspectors and quality engineers. As a Quality Manager, you’ll oversee quality processes, manage ISO standards (9001), and drive the development of ISO 14001 accreditation. With a hands-on approach, you’ll collaborate closely with shop-floor teams and other departments to drive a best-practice Quality culture and ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership & Team Management:

* Lead and mentor Quality Engineers and Welding Inspectors

* Foster a collaborative approach to addressing quality issues using the main Quality toolkit (RCA, 8D, 5Ys, ITPs, create SOPs)

* Conduct regular team reviews and provide clear feedback.

* Quality Assurance:

* Maintain and develop ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

* Lead customer action plans, audits, and systematic problem-solving initiatives.

* Implement robust supplier quality assurance systems.

* Process Improvement:

* Utilise problem-solving tools to prevent reoccurring issues.

* Develop and report KPIs to monitor trends and drive improvements.

* Champion continuous improvement activities for Welding and other manufacturing processes

* Support the company’s growth through having an input in strategy

Ideal Candidate:

* Welding expertise

* Proven success managing ISO certifications and systems

* Strong leadership skills with a track record of building effective teams.

* Hands-on, proactive approach to Quality Management

* Nice to have – background as a Welding Inspector
