Job Description
Due to continued growth, HMH in Aberdeenshire is expanding our Workshop team and seeking qualified Workshop Mechanical Technicians to carry out all aspects of repair, overhaul and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.
Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks
Perform all job functions in a safe manner
Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
Ensure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
Carry out QC checks at Goods In point as and when required
Report and participate in investigation of all unsafe practices and/or behaviours
Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines
Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures
Be able to operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes and vertical lift platforms (following training)
Successful candidates will:
hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
have a good working knowledge of fluid power systems
Be experienced in pressure testing (gas and fluid based)
Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
Have the ability to read schematic and layout drawings
Be able to communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
