Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Location: East Kilbride, Scotland
Salary: £55,000- £65,000 (Depending on experience)

Specialising in battery chargers that are frequently used in both indoor and outdoor settings, the company prides itself on global reach and international operations.
Your Profile: The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of experience and a relevant degree in Electronic Engineering, with a background in working on ACDC and DCDC converters. A passion and willingness to travel will match well with the companies set up. You will be instrumental in bringing creative solutions to the growing automated material handling equipment market.
Your Challenge:
Product improvement and positively contributing towards continued growth and success
Oversee and take responsibility for products from concept to mass production
Work in close cooperation with the system architect, mechanical, control engineers, and other specialists such as EMI and magnetic designers, PCB layout, and purchasing
Simulate switching converters using tools such as Mathcad, Simplis, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink
Prepare, review, and approve schematic designs, magnetic designs, power loss calculations, parts lists, and support the PCB layout teamRequired Skills:
Experience in power electronics design, semiconductors, magnetics, and control theory
Practical knowledge of laboratory tools, oscilloscopes, data loggers, AC and DC sources, and electronic loads, CAD tools, MRP tools, and schematic capture
Experience in LLC, Phase shift converters, and active PFC
Experience in EMC/EMI/Shielding is an advantage
The ability to interpret and review requirements
Experience with a formal design process including design reviews and stage gate reviewsBenefits:
