Wraparound and Childcare Programme Coordinator
Rochdale
4 months initially
Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid
To implement the wraparound and childcare programme across Rochdale ensuring provision is sustainable and meets the needs of working parents
To work in collaboration with partners and teams across the local authority, schools, families and childcare providers to assess supply and demand, and expand wraparound childcare provision that is accessible to children and families, including those with SEND
Undertake, review and update mapping of current wraparound and childcare provision
To lead consultation with children, parents and carers, providers, and partners about demand for wraparound childcare and their views
Provide business planning and marketing advice and guidance to new and existing early years childcare providers and schools
Work closely with finance officers and providers to complete funding applications and business plans to support development of high-quality provision
Provide ongoing monitoring, advice, support and challenge providers to ensure high quality inclusive practice is maintained, improvements are monitored and poor practice is reported through appropriate channels
Identify and share models of best practice, effectively engage with providers to secure high quality provision that meets all regulatory requirements
Communicate the wraparound offer through existing channels to parents and families, the public, wraparound childcare providers and other key agencies
Monitor and report on take up, availability, supply and demand and work with the DfE to provide ongoing accurate data to support with the monitoring and evaluation of the programme
Maintain accurate and effective records and plans, provide regular reports as required
To ensure any safeguarding concerns identified relating to the welfare and safety of children and raised and progressed through the appropriate processes and procedures Requirements
Experience of working collaboratively with parents, carers and partners delivering change
Experience of managing and monitoring budgets, financial planning, projections and implementing year end processes
Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and relevant key local/national policies relating to early years, wraparound provision and vulnerable children
Knowledge of safeguarding processes, policies and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
