Job Description

I'm looking for a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to join our client in Maldon.

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, your duties will be:

Program advanced PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems while producing essential technical documentation like manuals and test procedures.
Collaborate on Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) with customers, traveling globally to commission systems on vessels of all kinds.
Lead Harbour and Sea Acceptance Trials, taking projects from design through to customer handover, while working with cross-functional teams both on-site and remotely.
Attend meetings with customers and internal teams, offering your expertise in system design, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Drive innovation by assisting in the development of new products and ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Follow project schedules set by the Systems Engineering Manager, playing a crucial role in delivering successful, cutting-edge engineering solutions.To be considered for the Senior Control Systems Engineer role, you must have:

Degree or HNC in Electronic Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering to support your technical expertise.
Expertise in PLC and SCADA systems, along with strong skills in PLC programming, especially using IEC (phone number removed) languages.
Proficiency in controls, automation, and electrical system integration, ensuring high-performance systems that meet customer needs.
Solid understanding of P&ID drawings and experience with CAD software such as Visio or E-Plan Electric P8.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, Canbus, and Profibus, to enhance system connectivity.
A proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team environment, while also showing initiative to operate independently.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions.Benefits:
