KO2's client, a leading manufacturer of linear heat detection cables, is seeking a Customer-Facing Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology company experiencing significant growth, having seen over 30% year-on-year expansion since its acquisition by a FTSE 250 business.
Detection cables are used in challenging environments such as car parks, tunnels, and solar panel installations-an area gaining heightened attention due to recent fire safety concerns. With applications ranging from simple heat detection to advanced solutions capable of distinguishing between solar heat and fire, this technology acts as a distributed thermometer, offering incredible data insights.
The Role
This role bridges the technical expertise of the R&D team and the customer-facing commercial team. Your role will be twofold:
Knowledge Transfer: Extract and document critical electronics knowledge from the Technical Director to ensure continuity and accessibility.
Customer Engagement: Handle pre- and post-sales queries, provide technical advice, and identify opportunities to upsell solutions.This is an ideal position for a highly technical electronics engineer who enjoys customer interaction. You'll advise customers on the best products for their needs, assist with local approvals, and support technical troubleshooting. Whether the questions are basic or highly detailed, your ability to communicate complex information clearly will be key.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with the R&D team to deepen your understanding of advanced electronics systems.
Provide expert guidance to customers on product selection and system compatibility.
Build a bank of technical knowledge and share it effectively with internal teams and clients.
Spot opportunities to upsell and deliver tailored solutions for diverse applications.
