Client Details

A great opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join a Clothing & Accessories business in Manchester. This business is all about quality of the items it sells, of which all are designed in-house. Due to growth in the product team the business is seeking to add a Junior Buyer.

Description

You the Junior Buyer will be accountable for the department critical path ensuring it is managed across the supply base from product development to delivery deadlines
Generating new creative ideas to better both the business and department
Presenting weekly and daily trade reports
Accountable for teams relationships with garment tech, QC, and compliance to ensure business standards are followed
Working alongside Design team to ensure they are translating trends to be relevant and in line with frameworks
Working with Creative & Marketing teams on campaigns in line with department and business strategy
Working with Merchandising team to lead the department strategy in line with seasonal SWOT analysis and lessons learnt
Working with Merchandising to set frameworks in line with department forecasts
Managing supplier relationships including capacity, hit rate, costings, and lead times. Including finding and nurturing relationships with new suppliers.
Overseeing product development to ensure all product signed off is on brand and trend relevant
Attending regular supplier meetings including overseas trips and trade shows
Sourcing and meeting new suppliers to benefit the department strategy
Maintaining and growing relationships with wider business functions including Studio, Finance, Operations, and any other department where necessary
Any other duties proportionate with the level of responsibility of this role
