£40,867 salary with additional supplements

We are the largest independent pharmaceutical wholesaler in the UK with a fast growing international network supplying medicines to meet patient needs and providing a route to market for manufacturers.

We are fully managed and regulatory compliant, sourcing imported medicines for specific patient needs. The company is experiencing growth at the moment, providing a much needed healthcare service. 

Role Overview

You will work alongside the Logistics Transport operation, working in tandem with the Transport Supervisor, Drivers and wider Mawdsleys colleagues to ensure the safe, legal and efficient distribution of all products, maintaining an ever-present focus on both operator licence adherence and MHRA compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that operations are carried out in adherence to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles;
Deliver the safe movement of pharmaceuticals throughout the supply chain from good receipt to final mile delivery;
Promote patient safety in-line with the guidance and advice provided by the Quality team and controlled by the business quality management system;
Always represent the Mawdsleys Logistics (ML) business unit in an ambassadorial manner to both internal and external customers;
Deliver pharmaceutical products for all ML customers, on time, in full wherever practicable;
Adhere to the business SOP package to ensure driver and vehicle activities are compliant with DVSA regulations;
Ensure MHRA regulations are followed by supporting and completing temperature monitoring and management requirements;
Support the ML Transport Management team with all Transport enquiries;
Communicate effectively, efficiently and coherently with other drivers, customers and internal Management;
To support the Transport Operational team during periods of high work volume and during absence;
Be an integral part of the ML team across the wider business, building relationships and a teamwork ethos;
Be involved, if relevant, in projects that are required to support the business strategy.
 
What we’re looking for from you

Essential

CPC trained;
Registered Tachograph driver card;
Good problem-solving skills;
Ability and confidence to find solutions under pressure’
Strong team working skills;
Flexible approach to work and be able to work shifts with a willingness to work additional hours when required;

You may have experience in the following roles: Driver, HGV, Distribution, LGV Driver, Heavy Goods Vehicle, Class 1 Driver, Certificate of Professional Competence, Class 2 Driver, HGV 1 Driver, CPC, Lorry Driver, C+E Driver, etc.
