The Opportunity:
 
The Environmental Trials and Analysis Engineer will be an integral part of the Trials and Analysis team, playing a key role in land, sea, and air-based weapons system projects. This team provides technical expertise at all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept definition and product development to design support, qualification, and in-service support. The role involves:

Specifying and managing requirements, performing data analysis, simulation, modelling, and testing in climatic, mechanical, and structural environments.
Providing technical expertise and advice across projects, delivering high-quality, on-time solutions.
Managing vibration, shock, and thermal analysis activities and ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
Collaborating with customers and acting as a technical consultant, leading evaluations and technical investigations.
Contributing to strategy and advancements in the analysis of emerging technologies and threats. 
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering data evaluation activities, technical work packages, and platform integration assessments.
Developing test specifications for vibration, shock, and signal evaluations.
Conducting investigations and preparing technical reports to resolve issues related to shock and vibration, improving engineering capability.
Planning, delivering, and monitoring work packages, making engineering decisions within authority limits.
Managing complex, cross-project tasks and ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
Salary: Circa £55,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Stevenage (relocation package may be available)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically, 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
 
What we are looking for:

A strong technical background in environmental, mechanical, or similar disciplines.
Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and presentation skills.
Strong influencing, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
Highly motivated, adaptable, and results-focused in unfamiliar environments.
Experience in instrumentation, signal processing, and complex analysis (preferable).
Previous experience in complex vibration, shock, and thermal analysis (preferable).
