Chesterfield  
Up to £42,000 + benefits 
Permanent Full Time

Meridian Business Support has a wonderful opportunity for a highly skilled and person focused Speech and Language Therapist to join our client setting in Chesterfield. Ideally you will have experience working With mental health, developmental disability, autism and co-morbidity.

Cross site cover required across hospital site in Leeds,  York  and Chesterfield.
 
Duties include

Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for speech and language therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
Receive and respond promptly to referrals , undertaking assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs, before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions on an individual or group basis.
Maintain accurate and timely records, detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progression..
Ensure the effective and efficient management of themselves.
Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies, procedures and professional codes.
Comply with statutory regulations and quality standards.
Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Priory therapy services in line with the local business plans.
Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and commissioners and other external professionals, as necessary,  throughout the patient’s recovery and rehabilitation. 
Requirements

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Full RCSLT membership 
Specialised training and experience in assessing and intervening in cases of complex communication, swallowing difficulties, and tracheostomy care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
