Our client, a full service, Legal 500 law firm based in Lincolnshire, are looking for an experienced Court of Protection solicitor to join their Grimsby office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team renowned for their matters relating solely to those who do not have the capacity to make informed decisions on their own.
The role:
* Supporting and leading on all of the CoP and Mental Capacity Act matters received by referral.
* Working on the Department’s CoP applications and MCA matters including for Deputyships/Trusts Statutory Wills, gifts, DoLS and finance/welfare abuse and safeguarding.
* Liaising closely with the HoD and Partners on internal Court of Protection training.
* Developing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders such as the PI, Medical Negligence and Regulatory departments and costs draftsman for Deputy appointments.
The person:
* Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
* Have between 1-8 years PQE (although candidates outside this range are encouraged to apply).
* Be a Court of Protection solicitor with a focus on Health & Welfare matters and acting for vulnerable people.
