WTG Drive Train Specialist required for a major offshore wind developer based in France
Responsibilities
Be a drive train wind turbine specialist for Onshore and Offshore Wind
Participate in technical due diligences/qualifications and evaluate various drive train designs
Review and assess inspection data from O&M organisation
Support the O&M organisation on maintenance strategies for drive train
Support the project organisation on quality activities related for bearings and gearboxes production
Participate in validation & verification efforts to assess WTG performance and/or to assess new technologies introduction
Support projects during technical negotiations for WTG tendering process
Document technical due diligences and create WTG failure rates
Train the rest of the organisation on drive train technology and challenges,
Develop design standards and provide technical feedbacks to develop the technology
Participate to the establishment of relationships with WTG suppliers / drive train manufacturer
In his/her discipline, contribute to R&D programs and technical roadmapsRequirements
Experience within WTG drive train design standards
Sc. engineering or related education
5-10 years of industry experience in design, research and/or manufacturing within wind turbine drive train production
Experience with drive train service, inspection and repair
Based from Paris office and expected travel one week every 2 months to Shanghai, China
