An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
* My client is looking for a Procurement Specialist; this is a temp vacancy until the end of January 2025 with the view to an extension.
* Successful candidate must have public sector social care procurement experience.
* Mainly working from home with a mandatory day in the office (always second Tuesday) Working pattern is Monday – Friday 37 hours per week.
* Pay rate for this role is £23.03 PAYE or £28.70 Umbrella.
* This vacancy is based in Bristol.
Important Requirement:
* The successful candidate must be MCIPS qualified.
The Responsibilities:
* As a Procurement Specialist, you will lead on specific allocated medium/higher value/risk procurement and tendering and associated commercial and contract management arrangements to deliver procurement exercises effectively.
* In your job role, you will need to utilise market knowledge, data & procurement expertise to identify and deliver commercial opportunities and solutions, working with commissioners, service managers and others to ensure delivery and appropriate sourcing strategies.
* Part of your role as a Procurement specialist will be to provide professional procurement advice and support in line with Public Sector procurement requirements and the council’s commercial assurance framework, promoting the development of a commercial approach with key stakeholders.
* Furthermore, you will constructively engage with Services to ensure that commercial acumen is applied in how procurement and contracts are established.
