Teamforce Labour currently require a Works Manager to join our client in Leiston!

Location: Leiston (Suffolk)
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Benefits

As a Works Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of civil engineering projects, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works in line with specifications, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Manage and coordinate all site activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven completion of works, including drainage, kerbs, service ducts, earthworks, and site clearance.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage site teams, subcontractors, and labour to ensure a collaborative approach to project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, relevant standards, and regulations. Oversee the preparation and implementation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and ensure the quality control process is followed.
Health & Safety Compliance: Champion health, safety, and environmental standards on site. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and legislative requirements.
Progress Monitoring: Oversee the planning and delivery of works, providing regular updates to senior management regarding progress, potential risks, and any challenges that may impact project timelines.
Key Requirements:

Proven Experience: Significant experience in a Works Manager or similar role within a civil engineering environment, ideally with a focus on drainage, kerbs, service ducts, earthworks, and site clearance.
Leadership Skills: Strong management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Health & Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in civil engineering.
