ROLE OVERVIEW
Working to the Regional Business Plan, and in close collaboration with their AWM colleagues, the Complex Wound Specialist (CWS) will provide clinical support and implementation training for our NPWT portfolio. A key part of the role will be to provide clinical and technical support to HCPs through training programmes and specific wound clinical support. This position is required to be confident of working throughout the Acute & Community care setting – 80% is likely to be within the Acute. Customers would predominately be Tissue Viability Nurse’s, Theatre and Ward Nurses, District Nurses, Podiatrists (including leg ulcer and vascular specialists) and Clinical Leads.
Close working with the NP Territory Manager, AWC Territory Manager, Commercial Account Manager and Regional Manager is essential in target implementation account projects.
They will be responsible for supporting projects and driving appropriate usage across our NPWT portfolio
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Drive clinical advocacy and support across (Renasys & PICO Open wounds) within Acute & Community, supporting wider adoption of PICO for open wounds. Implement high quality NPWT clinical training programmes to maximise the safe and efficacious use of S&N NPWT products
* To maintain and develop clinical skills and knowledge through the delivery of local clinical support sessions across the NPWT portfolio
* To follow Company strategy, using approved training and following standard operating procedures.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/COMPETECES
NHS or equivalent clinical experience required
Wound Care and NPWT knowledge and experience advantageous
* Clinical Aptitude
* Effective Communication
* Planning and Organisation
EDUCATION
Registered General Nurse or from a profession allied to medicine
