Engineering Administrator
Bedfordshire
 £25,000 - 30,000 per annum

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organised and  proficient Engineering Administrator to support our client’s production and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a  background from engineering or manufacturing , with the ability to review bills of materials (BOMs).and  creating technical instructions for production, as well as supporting the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Administration:

Interpret  drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to produce clear, accurate production instructions.
Develop and maintain  documentation for manufacturing processes.
Update records with changes and ensure all  documents are current.

Production Support:

Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the smooth transfer of technical information to production teams.
Provide assistance to ensure correct implementation of instructions and specifications.

Procurement & Buying:

Support the Sourcing and purchase of components required for production.
Manage supplier relationships and track the timely delivery of materials.
Work with finance to ensure that procurement activities meet budget.

Administrative Support:

Maintain and update technical databases and documentation.
Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth operations.
Prepare reports and data analysis for management when required.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a  Administrator,  in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
Excellent administrative skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
