Job Purpose: 

To deliver, maintain and improve effective and efficient energy services in line with departmental and organisational needs

Summery:  

Property Services is responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services across the UK to mainly internal clients and additionally a small number of external clients. it is also responsible for operational Health and Safety of the service, including fire safety and delivering effective group wide asset managerment and reinvestment programmes.

The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilites in respect of both Health and Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.

This profile is not an exhaustive list of duties and other activities may need to eb carried out requiring similar skill level.

Key Accountabilities (all Accountabilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation

Support the delivery of the Group's Energy aims and strategies, to ensure cost effective sustainable energy solutions are in place across the Group
Respond to Utility and Energy queries so that an efficiant service is provided in accordance with policies, procedures and relevent regulations including recommending service improvments as required
Support the delivery of effective and efficient energy services in accordance with policies and procedures and relevent regulations, including identifying and supporting new administrative systems as required.
Support the Managerment and Maintenance if relationships with internal and external customers by being a central point of contact for Energy and Utilities related projects.
Support the on going management of utility data to enable the accurate recording and reporting of energy information for the Group, ensuring it is effectively analysed to draw meaningful conclusions as to how the cost and consumption may be reduced.
Assist with the delivery of energy projects designed to enhance the services provided by the Group and which meet the needs of our customers and the wider community, maximising energy efficiency and generation
Keep up to date with changing legislation and regulations in relation to energy efficiency and utilities, investigating and reporting on changes that will have an impact on the Group, benchmarking the service delivery of our energy efficiency agenda against other organisations.
Support the implementation of special programmes and projects in support of the Group’s activities.

Qualifications and Attainments (or knowledge and experience at an equivalent level)

Able to demonstrate a level of numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of A Level or similar  Essential

Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level   Desirable

Work Experience

Recent experience in a similar role  Essential

Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads    Essential

Recent experience analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions   Desirable

Working knowledge of energy legislation, regulation and good practice   Desirable

Some experience of undertaking research and reporting on findings    Essential

Some experience of producing and analysing quality statistical information    Essential

Some experience of the successful delivery of projects   Desirable

Practical experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels    Essential
