Our client is seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Environmental Team (NET) Manager to lead the delivery of critical services including Grounds Maintenance, Tree Surveys and Works, Playground Inspections and Works, Pest Control, and Cleaning of Communal Areas in Rochdale.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving services for customers by developing and implementing projects in collaboration with external partners. This will involve utilising their extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of shaping services to enhance value for money and meet agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and improvement of Caretaking and Grounds Maintenance services to enhance value for money and meet agreed targets.
Develop and implement specific projects, particularly with external partners, to address challenges within services and achieve positive outcomes.
Analyse statistical information and produce professional and accurate written documents in various formats.
Effectively manage employees, resources, and performance to meet targets.
Ensure customer-facing service delivery meets high standards.
Oversee grounds maintenance and caretaking delivery.
In this role, the Neighbourhood Environmental Team Manager will strategically develop caretaking, grounds maintenance, and independent living scheme cleaners. They will also be responsible for strengthening maintenance relationships with key stakeholders and negotiating external contracts.
The successful candidate will have a specialised budget of £1 million and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team.
Required Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of shaping services to improve value for money and meet agreed targets.
Working knowledge and understanding of customer-facing service delivery.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to produce professional and accurate written documents in various formats.
Proven experience in performance management and effectively utilising resources to meet targets.
Prior experience in grounds maintenance and caretaking delivery.
