Hours of work:
Tuesday to Thursday: 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm
This is the perfect position for someone with experience working with transport and vehicle routing knowledge or someone who wishes to move into transport
Key responsibilities of the Transport Planner:
* Organising drivers and the fleet both on-site and at regional depots to meet scheduled deliveries across the country
* Optimising fleet routing to enhance customer service while ensuring compliance with legal regulations regarding driver working hours and fuel usage
* Supporting the Transport Team in various administrative duties as needed
To fulfil the role of Transport Planner role you must:
* Be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Be confident in managing your work to achieve timed daily duties
Additional desirable experience:
* A good national geographical knowledge
* Experience in planning vehicle driving routes
* A background in transport
Additional Information:
* 30 days holiday per year including statutory days increasing to 33 days after 6 years of continuous employment with one extra day for each year of service (Pro-rata)
