Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Resource Manager – Earthworks to join our CEFA account in Motherwell – Remote working.

Amey has worked continuously with Network Rail delivering aspects of the CEFA contracts since 2009, taking responsibility for the asset management and examination of different assets during this time.

Amey undertakes Structural Examinations, Structural Assessments, Operational Property Inspections, Earthworks Examinations, Technical Monitoring and provide Rapid Response services for Network Rail in several routes throughout the United Kingdom. Civil Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA) team includes approximately 200 Structures Examiners working on behalf of Network Rail to assess over 70,000 structures across the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Amey CEFA team, who are the sole providers of examinations for Network Rail in Scotland!

Resource Manager plays an important part to support the CEFA Operations Team in the efficient and effective and cost-effective provision of examination delivery resource and technical report compliance to ensure the successful delivery of the CEFA project.  To undertake People Manager duties, to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of team members.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week.

You will be responsible to:

Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, and ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes
Support the Earthworks Manager and Programme Manager providing accurate forecasts for resource capacity and needs in line with programme requirements.
Ensure that all reports are submitted to satisfy the requirements of the Contract KPI’s.
Undertake a people manager role, ensuring that the Examiners are highly engaged and receive the necessary support and development
Support the implementation of site audits, inspections and trials as appropriate.  

We want to hear from you if you have:

Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of the key operational processes and technical standards for delivering Earthworks examinations on the rail infrastructure.
Experience of managing individuals and small/medium sized work teams
Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Ability to lead, motivate and develop an examination team
PTS
Full UK Driving Licence
Computer literate with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel
