Graduate Payroll Assistant
Location: Tewkesbury
Hours: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: £27,600.00 per annum

Job Description

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Graduate Payroll Assistant to join our client’s Finance team. This is an ideal role for a recent Finance or Business graduate who is highly numerate, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in payroll. In addition, you’ll have the chance to work towards a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification with full support.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Payroll Assistant

* Support monthly payroll processing for over 500 employees, working closely with the Payroll Officer and Human Resources team.

* Manage HMRC reporting, pension administration, and handle various payroll-related tasks.

* Maintain accurate records, assist with year-end processes, and provide support for payroll queries.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and contribute to the team’s overall efficiency.

Key Skills of a Graduate Payroll Assistant

* Degree-level education in Finance or Business.

* Strong numeracy and IT skills, especially in Excel; experience with Sage is desirable.

* Excellent communication skills and a positive team player.

* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

* Some office experience is preferred.
