Full time, Permanent (potential for flexible hours Start/Finish)

7am-4pm Monday to Thursday & 7am – 1pm Friday

Salary circa £23,000 per annum

Our client is a leading manufacturer within multiple sectors supplying to customers globally.

At this moment in time due to growth, they need a Production Operative to help support the workshop in multiple departments (when trained up). This will include machinery operating, setting, assembly, production support & distribution.

Key candidate background needed:

* Real interest in starting/Having a career within manufacturing.

* Good team player as this will be a role where you will be supporting multiple departments

* Basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic are necessary.

* Ability to follow detailed work instructions.

* Basic computer understanding.

* Knowledge of machinery (advantageous)

Your responsibilities (once trained):

* Loads and unloads machinery with appropriate materials.

* Reading and interpreting work instructions, and any other related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications.

* Performs Assembly/Production duties such as: fitting, de-burring, sanding, grinding.

* Cuts/trims plastic pieces as necessary using hand tools.

* Inspects each part to ensure quality standards.

* Monitors machine for any mechanical problems.

* Completes all necessary paperwork and entering computer production information.

* Can advance to completing set up and change over procedures of the machinery and equipment.

* Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure quality standards.

* Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

* Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.

* Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
