Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Gateshead

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Job Description: As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and testing approval of electrical equipment for marine applications. The role requires developing detailed technical specifications, creating drawings, and establishing test procedures to meet contractual and company standards. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will also play a critical role in providing technical support to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Draft electrical schematics and cable diagrams using CAD systems such as Auto-CAD Electrical and EPLAN.

* Prepare and maintain technical specifications and testing procedures for marine electrical equipment.

* Offer technical support to clients and internal teams.

* Coordinate and review technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

* Proficiency in CAD software, with expertise in Auto-CAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.

* Prior experience in electrical design for marine or industrial applications is preferred.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
