Project Engineer - Dungeness, Kent
We are recruiting a Project Engineer for an exciting 24-month contract based on-site at Dungeness, Kent. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical engineering projects within a highly regulated industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background and experience with nuclear or conventional project engineering.

Location: Dungeness, Kent (Full-time, 4 days/week on-site)
Duration: 24 months
Rate: Umbrella £51.89/hourRole Overview: As Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose engineering solutions and providing support for complex projects. Your main duties will include:
Defining project requirements and stakeholder needs.
Contributing to Project Execution Plans and supporting design, safety, and commissioning strategies.
Developing concept designs and technical specifications, ensuring adherence to design authority standards.
Preparing modification proposals and providing technical assessment and supervision of contractors.
Overseeing construction and commissioning activities to confirm compliance with design intent and specifications.
Coordinating with system engineers and stakeholders for smooth project handover.Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in a disciplined engineering role (Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I) on industrial plant.
Background in nuclear or conventional project engineering, ideally within the UK.
Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards and a regulated environment, preferably nuclear.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, designers, and subject matter experts.Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Safety Rules, risk assessment methodology, and CDM Designer responsibilities.
Contract management and hands-on project delivery experience.
