Job Description

Consilium Recruit are supporting a specialist engineering business producing precision engineered components and tooling solutions. Working to extremely fine tolerances the business has a modern range of CNC machines and related equipment, they are seeking a Toolmaker on a permanent basis.

Commutable from:  Maidenhead, High Wycombe, Slough, Reading, Thame, Aylesbury

The Role

Supporting a wide range of sectors, this business produces a range of products, typically lower volume or prototype solutions and tooling.

The Toolmaker will play a key role in manufacturing, developing, and maintaining the tooling products. You will work closely with the engineering drawing and use both CNC Machines and manual machining centres to produce exceptional tooling and components.

The Toolmaker will ensure that products and evaluated and inspected to rigorous standard of accuracy using both CMM and manual measurement tools to ensure that GD&T is aligned to the engineering drawing.

The Person

The Toolmaker will posses a proven record in precision engineering including both tooling and precision engineered components and be able to read and interpret CAD drawings. You will be conversant manual and CMM inspection procedures and able to use your engineering knowledge to solve complex challenges.

The Toolmaker will work closely with the manufacturing teams to produce world-class products and tool/die solutions and support the design team with technical enquiries.

You will ideally have an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar discipline and proven experience in toolmaking and precision engineering working to fine tolerances.
