Manufacturing Planner and Buyer

Location: Royston

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5pm (4-day working week 32 hours)

Salary: circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience

Duration: Permanent

We are looking for a Manufacturing Planner and Buyer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the production and purchasing departments to ensure seamless material procurement and effective production schedules.

Duties will include:

* Develop and maintain detailed production schedules with the manufacturing team

* Monitor stock levels, lead times, and shortages, ensuring systems are always up to date

* Regularly review sales data to adjust production plans, preventing stock issues

* Set up and maintain material, supplier, and planning data in the MRP/ERP system

* Liaise with the sales and production teams on supply chain developments

* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any potential disruptions

What we are looking for:

* Proven experience in planning and procurement within a manufacturing environment

* CIPS qualification or equivalent (preferred)

* Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems

* Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions

* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
