Job Description

The Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) is a critical role within the construction industry, especially when projects involve significant interaction with residents, such as in refurbishment, housing projects, or infrastructure works. The RLO serves as the primary point of contact between the construction team and residents, ensuring smooth communication, minimising disruption, and managing expectations.

For this 6-week contract, the RLO will work on a project involving maintenance of properties in Crewe.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Resident Engagement:

* Serve as the first point of contact for residents affected by the construction project.

* Provide clear and regular updates on project progress, key milestones, and timelines.

* Address any concerns, questions, or complaints from residents promptly and professionally.

* Conduct face-to-face meetings, drop-in sessions, or door-knocking (where appropriate), ensuring that all residents are kept informed.

* Distribute communication materials such as newsletters, notices, and letters to residents regarding upcoming works or changes.

2. Complaint Resolution:

* Manage and resolve any issues raised by residents in a timely manner.

* Escalate any critical or unresolved issues to senior management.

* Document and track resident complaints, ensuring they are addressed according to company or project policies.

3. Site Coordination:

* Liaise with the construction team to ensure minimal disruption to residents during works.

* Coordinate access arrangements for contractors when necessary, ensuring all parties are informed.

* Monitor site activities from the residents' perspective to ensure safety and compliance with agreed protocols.

4. Administration and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of all interactions with residents.

* Provide weekly reports to the project manager or site manager detailing resident interactions, complaints, and resolutions.

* Ensure that all communication complies with the company's quality standards and project requirements.

5. Health & Safety Awareness:

* Be aware of and communicate potential health and safety risks to residents.

* Ensure that the construction team is aware of any special requirements (such as vulnerable residents or those with disabilities)
