Job Description

A Criminal Defence Law Firm that are the market leaders for Motoring Offences is recruiting an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to their expanding team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a solicitor with motor offences experience to join a dynamic team who are at the top of their game in this niche area of law.

You will enjoy traditional business hours (with no call outs outside of working hours), competitive salary (circa £60,000), hybrid working and an excellent benefits package.

As a Criminal Defence Solicitor, you will be working on a caseload of private paying motoring offences. Your responsibilities will include but are not exclusive to:

* Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients regarding their rights, potential defences, and the legal implications of their situation.

* Represent clients in court proceedings, including bail hearings, pre-trial conferences, plea negotiations, trials, and sentencing hearings. As your role is office based you will not be required to attend any court hearings and will instruct outside counsel to attend court.

Their head office is local to Media City in Manchester, with free parking on-site and within walking distance from tram spots if you use public transport. Their positive culture is demonstrated in their low attrition rate. They genuinely value their staff’s health, offering a FREE on-site gym to all employees and wellness programmes.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor (3+ years PQE) with at least 1 years’ experience in motoring law and defending motoring offences in a client facing role with experience of running your own caseload, both guilty and not guilty pleas.

Salary circa £60,000 DOE. Please contact Grace Bolton at Miller Grace for more information on this role or apply to be immediately considered
