Salary: Excellent Salary + Benefits
Location: Aberdeen (South)

Our client is a leading provider of high quality, sustainable and cost-efficient Total Waste Management solutions for large scale industry and public authorities. With 30 years of expertise, they offer tailored waste management solutions for different types of waste, utilising their in-house facilities and processing capabilities with third parties.  Their focus is on improved recycling and maximum recovery of energy and valuable components from waste, positioning themselves at the forefront of sustainable waste management.
 
About the opportunity:
They are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician (Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation) who will be responsible for the execution of all front line electrical, control system and instrumentation maintenance activities across all of the process, building and site systems.  This will be done in accordance with the operational requirements of the facility in order to drive compliance and ensure high levels of operational availability of the facility.  You will also be required to support the development of less experienced maintenance technicians and apprentices within the maintenance team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
All works are executed in accordance safe system of work and the protection of people, plant and the environment are at the core of every activity.

Ensure that all work activities are executed safely and take responsibility for the safety of others.
Maintenance of the facility using best industry practices in compliance with all relevant environmental, legal, license and internal norms.
Collaborative delivery of maintenance services within the facility, sharing best practice across the maintenance team.
Execution of all preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.
Execution of planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
Work with and support external maintenance service providers operating within the facility.
Identification of operational improvement projects that simplify, standardize or improve the operability.
Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and any as-built modifications are documented.
Delivery of services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment where: Maintenance activities are executed in accordance with environmental objectives and the maintenance working environment is a safe, healthy and energising place to deliver exceptional service.
Attention to details and doing things right, first time, every time.
Be aware of the impact of maintenance activities and the way they are executed impact the operational budget for the facility.
Always be on the look out for alternative methods of executing work that make it safer, improves quality and/or efficiency. To be successful in this role, you will need:

SVQ/HNC/HND with significant experience gained in a maintenance, construction and/or engineering services environment.
Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLC’s would be an advantage.
Familiarity with Low, Medium and High Voltage switching and control equipment.
Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries such as: power generation, cement industry and petrochemicals.
Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience a distinct advantage. Our offer to you:
