Job Title: Carpenter / Quality Control
Location: Downham Market
Salary: In the region of £32,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
 
Overview: We are looking for a motivated individual to step into the role of Carpenter / Quality Control Supervisor for our clients team near Downham Market. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with carpentry experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. While no prior quality control experience is necessary, a good understanding of carpentry, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential. The role will involve checking product quality, implementing solutions, and contributing to lean manufacturing practices, with potential involvement in ISO systems in the future.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Inspecting and verifying the quality of products, with a focus on carpentry-related aspects.
Identifying and addressing any quality issues, working with the production team to implement solutions.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
Assisting with the development of quality control systems and processes.
Learning and contributing to the potential implementation of ISO quality management systems.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure product standards are consistently met. Key Requirements:

Practical experience in carpentry is essential.
A willingness to learn and develop skills in quality control and lean manufacturing.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
A proactive attitude and the desire to step up into a supervisory role. Preferred Qualifications:

Any previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous but is not required.
