Job Title: Construction Mechanic / Plant Fitter

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic/Plant Fitter to join our team and work with heavy piling plant machinery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on heavy plant equipment and be comfortable with both yard-based and on-site work. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining, repairing, and servicing equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy plant machinery, including piling rigs.
Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults on equipment and perform necessary repairs.
Work both in the yard and on-site, ensuring all equipment is in working order and compliant with safety regulations.
Conduct hydraulic hose fitting (training provided).
Perform routine maintenance checks and complete any necessary documentation.
Respond to breakdowns promptly and ensure swift resolution to minimise equipment downtime.
Work closely with the team to ensure machinery operates smoothly and meets project requirements.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanic or Plant Fitter, preferably working with heavy plant machinery.
Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical systems in plant equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both yard and site environments.
Own tools required (van provided by the company).
Full UK driving license.
