Job Description

Piper Maddox is thrilled to partner with one of the foremost pioneers in the eVTOL aircraft industry, embarking on a mission to recruit a Flight Control Systems Architect to join the team. This pivotal role will encompass the entire spectrum of Flight Control Systems and require you to be the focal point for all interacting systems, making sure they are designed and developed appropriately to enable type certification. This strategic position is vital to completing their flagship aircraft and be instrumental in the architectural design of the coming aircraft. This position will form part of the leadership team with full technical responsibility and no direct people management. Join us in shaping the future of aviation and innovation!

As a Flight Control Systems Architect, you will:

* Lead all activities related to the development and management of flight control systems, ensuring seamless integration.
* Collaborate with various cross-functional and overarching teams to maintain technical consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
* Work closely with the Aircraft Architect or Chief Engineer to manage both physical and design integration.
* Align technical requirements and solutions with all stakeholders to ensure coherence.
* Oversee system qualification, verification, and validation processes.
* Monitor continuous airworthiness, driving technical innovation.
* Evaluate design impacts, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
* Ensure the completeness and alignment of technical solutions, manage system-level requirements, and maintain consistency.

We are looking for:

* Proven experience with Flight Control Systems development and project management
* Familiar with aircraft regulations and certification standards
* Ability to prioritise and organise multi-faceted schedules to ensure appropriate delivery of workload
* Skilled in diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues with innovative solutions.
* Comfortable with technically leading cross-functional teams and working in fast-paced environments
