Health and Safety Officer
£34,000 - £40,000 (pro rata)
Permanent
Hybrid role working 30 hours per week
Location: Wrexham, Oswestry, Chester, Shrewsbury or Welshpool

The role:
Health and Safety Officer required for a reputable charity, working in a friendly team. This role will involve travelling to retail establishments located across North and Mid Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire and Powys as well as working from home.
Main Duties of the Health and Safety Officer:

Deliver clear, balanced, and practical Health and Safety guidance to the retail management team.
Maintain a structured and compliant Health and Safety system.
Follow clear and consistent policies, procedures, risk assessments, safe work systems, training, and assurance audits.
Travel across retail locations in Shropshire, Cheshire, and Mid and North Wales.
Candidate:
The successfully appointed Health and Safety Officer will have:

Holds a NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum (or equivalent).
Demonstrable experience as a Health and Safety professional.
Possesses excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
Capable of building relationships and influencing at all levels.
Able to draft clear and accurate risk assessments, procedures, and safe systems of work.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging Health & Safety trends and best practices.
Understands HSE Management Systems and UK Health & Safety legislation.
Additional skills/job titles: H&S Assistant, NEBOSH, EHS Officer, Health and Safety Assistant.
