Job Description

Building a sustainable tomorrow

BAM Site Solutions are recruiting a Workshop Plant Mechanic to be based at our Allbrook Depot in Eastleigh.

This is a full, Monday to Friday.

In addition to an attractive salary we offer a contributory pension, 25 days holiday, family friendly policy and BAM social club membership.

Your mission

• Carry out workplace risk assessments on own and with team
• Resolve technical problems relating to plant and equipment and share knowledge, use own initiative whilst on-site.
• Carry out and record regular plant inspections
• Carry put schedule servicing in accordance with manufactures specifications
• Maintain internal plant to Site Solutions standards
• Carry out on and off hire PDI inspections to Site Solutions standards
• Carry out pre- through examination inspections
• Provide clear and concise data records
• Provide advice to others ie apprentices and operators in the safe operation and correct maintenance of plant
• Advise and at times seek advice on the modification and development of plant to ensure compliance with Change Control Procedures
• Identify opportunities to implement new technology
• Carry out regular work programmes set by manager
• Carry out workload in collaboration with operational teams
• Train, mentor and develop others
• Record all work carried out within company electronic system
• Carry out workshop inspections as instructed
• Maintain work area in a safe and tidy condition
• Ensure compliance with company and legislative safety and environment requirements
• Assist with implementation of Your Safety is My Safety

Who are we looking for?

* Desirable but not essential, NVQ Level 2 Construction Plant Operations or Machinery Maintenance or Level 2 Construction Plant Operative Apprenticeship

* You will need to hold a Full Driving license,
